80% Of Americans Don't Trust The Government

According to a PEW research poll, 80% of Americans do not trust the government. With the rampant abuse of public goodwill that occurred under the Bush administration, only to be followed by a year of disappointing revelations and actions by the Obama administration, Americans have good reason not to trust the government.

Let's not forget the lies of the Clinton administration, regarding Bill Clinton's extracurricular sexual activities and then First Lady Hillary Clinton's duplicitous dealings in the Whitewater scandal.

Most egregiously, the long suffering American people have been lied to about a war that wreaked havoc in the Middle East and destroyed America's name all over the world.

The nation's citizens have also been subjected to lies about renditioning, warrantless spying on American citizens by the FBI and NSA in the areas of telephones, mobile phones, computers, emails, GPS, bank accounts, credit reports and library cards. Deficit and budgetary spending has also been corrupted and camouflaged to hide the truth.

It's been one lie after another for the past twenty years, giving the American people and the world, no reason to trust the U.S. government. What is most alarming is the government's abuse of the U.S. Constitution, court system and federal law, in attempting to get away with blatantly illegal and unethical conduct. This misconduct hit a jarring crescendo under the Bush administration.

Some government officials have smirked and laughed at the gross lack of transparency and culpability in office, regarding illegal conduct they have been able to get away with, that has been witnessed by the American people and the world, clearly not grasping it has deteriorated America to terrible degrees.

It's the equivalent of burning one's house down, not realizing people are watching the act of self-sabotage, in a crooked attempt to become rich and powerful, via illegally obtained funds one is banking on.

Public confidence in government is at one of the lowest points in a half century, according to a survey from the Pew Research Center. Nearly 8 in 10 Americans say they don't trust the federal government and have little faith it can solve America's ills, the survey found.

The survey illustrates the ominous situation President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party face as they struggle to maintain their comfortable congressional majorities in this fall's elections. Midterm prospects are typically tough for the party in power. Add a toxic environment like this and lots of incumbent Democrats could be out of work.

IG: FBI Computer System On Track For Failure

U.S. Inspector General Glenn A. Fine has confirmed, the FBI's mess of a computer system is on track to fail once again. One part of the report cites an application within the computer system that has rendered over 10,000 software errors and become a nightmare for FBI agents. The computer system is behind once again and has wasted hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer money.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the contractor Lockheed Martin Corp were renegotiating the budget -- last estimated at $451 million -- as well as the schedule and some of the work to be performed, the report said.

The system, known as Sentinel, had been expected to be completed by September but FBI Director Robert Mueller told Congress earlier this month it would be delayed until 2011.

"We have significant concerns with the rate and cost at which Sentinel's development is progressing," the report said. "The FBI will require significant additional time and funding to address these issues."...

Last night I giggled a bit when I realized, remove one P and turn it into a C and it is the P-CACA bill, which is what some Americans think of it, judging by the national outcry. The bill needs work or it will break the U.S. economy in a way it has never been broken before.

Reports coming out of Washington D.C. insist, U.S. President Barack Obama's party, the Democrats, lack the number of votes required to pass his historic health care bill, which much of the nation does not want.

Democratic House Speaker and fellow Democrat, Nancy Pelosi, has been going around the nation's capital, in search of the needed votes, strategizing with the President, to force the highly debated bill through.

However, there are still notable hold-outs, shifting the numbers of the finally tally, in a manner the White House is not pleased with, as it will mean the President's plans go up in smoke.

FBI Computer System Still A Financial Sinkhole

The New York Times has announced The FBI's long awaited computer system has hit the wall again. Unbelievable! The Judiciary Report's sister site, the Sound Off Column, wrote a series of articles beginning in June 2006 (www.soundoffcolumn.com/june_06.htm) warning of future trouble with the FBI's planned computer system.

The Sound Off Column even detailed methods of creating and implementing a computer system for the FBI that was a mere fraction of the cost being tossed around in Congress and would require far less time.

America has some of the biggest computer companies in the world, yet Mueller has the nation's main law enforcement agency looking like they start fires with rocks and sticks, instead of matches.

Four years after the Sound Off Column articles, warning the FBI to change course in how it announced it would go about acquiring a computer system and $1billion dollars later in taxpayer money and the FBI's computer system is delayed once again with more problems cropping up.

The Sound Off Column warned the system would be useless if it was implemented over years rather than weeks or a few short months, as the speed of technology is as such, one year down the road, manufacturers will have released their latest innovations, making older models obsolete.

However, site reader, FBI Director Robert S. Mueller, clearly thinks he knows more than me about computers, when he nearly fell for an identity theft scam via an email link he nearly clicked, thus he went about the computer system the long and wrong way. Now they are sitting on scrap metal, er, I mean outdated computers, with old operating systems and slower peripherals, much of which have not even been implemented.

I have a bridge I'd like to sell Mueller, because he is just that gullible that he would buy just about anything. This wouldn't be so sad if the country was not facing an unprecedented rise in terrorism both domestically and internationally.

Having a great, cutting edge computer system, makes a big difference in law enforcement matters. Technology can be used to prevent crime and boost productivity, but some people just don't grasp that. Robert S. Mueller is one of those people. Hence, the FBI being so slow and inefficient with cases, even when people's lives are at stake.

Side Bar: you still haven't accounted for hundreds of millions of dollars from the computer system money that went missing and was labeled "miscellaneous." Do we have to guess which off shore accounts that embezzled taxpayer money is sitting in. You better be glad I'm not President, because your butt would be in prison.

Putting the project known as Sentinel on hold has alarmed some on Capitol Hill because the upgrade was considered vital to shoring-up deficiencies in key areas, The New York Times reports. Several years ago, FBI computer systems were so poor that many agents couldn't send or receive email and had difficulty getting case histories or tapping other databases.

Following the September 11 terrorist attacks, agents in Florida had to send their counterparts in Washington, DC, photographs of the hijackers by overnight mail because they couldn't send email attachments...

F.B.I. Faces New Setback in Computer Overhaul

Published: March 18, 2010 - WASHINGTON — The Federal Bureau of Investigation has suspended work on parts of its huge computer overhaul, dealing the agency the latest costly setback in a decade-long effort to develop a modernized information system to combat crime and terrorism.

The overhaul was supposed to be completed this fall, but now will not be done until next year at the earliest. The delay could mean at least $30 million in cost overruns on a project considered vital to national security, Congressional officials said...

The officials said the decision to suspend work on other parts of the program reflected the lessons learned from previous setbacks. When Lockheed Martin won the contract, the F.B.I. ended the previous computer overhaul and started over because the problems had grown too big to fix.

Robert S. Mueller III, director of the F.B.I., acknowledged problems in the project when he was asked about it at a House appropriations hearing on Wednesday...

While the F.B.I. described the problems as a minor setback, Congressional officials said they were alarmed.

Republicans are more opposed to this bill than ever and slammed it in separate interviews. Tea Parties that consist of Americans protesting, have also come out against the bill. America needs a great health care plan, but this bill certainly is not it.

FBI Analysts Lied To Convict Innocent People

To illustrate the treachery and corruption that exists at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, several FBI analysts have been exposed by the U.S. Court system as liars that willfully submitted knowingly false evidence, that convicted innocent minorities of crimes they did not commit, sending them to prison for decades.

Why? They are hateful racists and the FBI has an informal arrest quotas, demanding agents solve a certain amount of crimes, lest they get stuck in the FBI gulag and not make it to the executive level of the agency with higher pay and perks.

That is no way to run a law enforcement agency. It is about quality, not quantity. Yes, work at an efficient speed, but knowingly engaging in corruption and throwing innocent people in prison, just to have bodies to meet the quota is criminal and inexcusable.

The job does not offer great opportunities for advancement and there is so much bureaucracy at FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C. very few of them have clean hands. They done and looked the other way to very shameful things, under poor leadership, that cost innocent Americans and world citizens their lives and in quite a few instances, their health.

It's amazing that President Obama is speaking of "overhauling" everything under the sun in America, from health care to education, yet has woefully and negligently overlooked the FBI, the nation's first line of defense against terrorism and crime, that is the equivalent of a broken lock on the front door of the house that is America.

Suspicions about FBI analysts growing

Sunday, March 14, 2010 - The U.S. attorney's office in the District has found more than 100 cases since the mid-1970s that need to be reviewed because of potentially falsified and inaccurate tests by FBI analysts.

The report, filed in D.C. Superior Court late Friday, stems from an internal investigation by prosecutors after the exoneration in December of Donald E. Gates, who was falsely imprisoned for 28 years for the 1981 rape and slaying of a Georgetown University student.

The review was launched to examine 20 cases in which Justice Department officials questioned the validity of statements made by six FBI forensic analysts who were identified in a 1997 report by the department's office of inspector general...

A database of the FBI analysts names has been created to allow prosecutors to collect and research cases...

But Sandra Levick, chief of the special litigation division for the District's Public Defender Service, said the new report is "troubling" because "the government still does not know the number of people hurt by testimony from discredited FBI analysts, although it was given names beginning in 1997."...

It should also be noted, pop culture entertainment is also contributing to eroding kids minds and test scores, as the standards Hollywood has put forth are so low, children seeking to emulate them, end up aspiring to the wrong things.

Hollywood often knocks intelligence prompting the most sexist and racist stereotypes, some kids feel the need to fall between, when it does not define and determine who they are as people.

I heard an excerpt of a rap song today, right before I turned it off, regarding a rapper decrying education. In the lyrics he braggingly referred to himself as uneducated and stated women that did well in school, now lunge after the dollars he throws on the ground, equating them to strippers.

China Slams And Excoriates U.S. Government

The Chinese government excoriated the U.S. government as "hypocritical" via denouncing Washington's meddling in other nations' affairs and condemning other countries, while human rights abuses in the United States against Americans and residents continues unabated.

The rebuke was in response to a derogatory report the U.S. government issued on China. The Chinese government also took its American counterparts in Washington to task, for the current global financial crisis, which began in the U.S. corporate sector, that former President George W. Bush, left unattended, labeling in "a free market" which allowed financial corruption to take root and destroy the financial portfolios of many people in America.

The Chinese government stated, as a result of said lax financial policies and lack of corporate policing, many "People are suffering all over the world" having lost their homes, bank accounts and life savings.

China is the largest holder of U.S. debt and has become concerned regarding the $1 trillion dollars it is owed, in the face of the devaluation of the U.S. dollar, due to increased spending in Washington over the past year, in trying to correct former President George W. Bush's horrific decisions.

Fri Mar 12, 2010 9:24am EST - (Reuters) - China accused Washington of hypocrisy on Friday for its criticism of Beijing's restrictions on the Internet and dissent, blaming the United States for the financial crisis and saying its own rights record was terrible.

In its annual survey of human rights in 194 countries issued on Thursday, the U.S. State Department criticized China, along with Cuba, Myanmar, North Korea and Russia.

China's State Council Information Office, or cabinet spokesman's office, issued its own annual assessment of the United States' human rights record in response, and this year it dwelt on America's economic woes.

"The United States not only has a terrible domestic human rights record, it is also the main source of many human rights disasters worldwide," the Chinese report said, according to the official Xinhua news agency.

"Especially a time when the world is suffering serious human rights disasters caused by the global financial crisis sparked by the U.S. sub-prime crisis, the U.S. government has ignored its own grave human rights problems and reveled in accusing other countries."...

The latest Chinese counter-blast to U.S. criticisms said Washington should concentrate on "improving its own human rights."

Obama Deficit Projections Off By $1.2 Trillion

U.S. President Barack Obama's deficit projections are being labeled incorrect, off by as much as $1.2 trillion dollars. This spells terrible trouble for the U.S. economy and reaffirms the Judiciary Report's stated belief, President Obama's economic advisors are not going in the right direction.

As the Judiciary Report has maintained for several months, this massive spending the Obama Administration has undertaken, to correct the widespread damage of the Bush years, is going to end in economic disaster and a different America than you see today.

US deficit tops Obama forecast by 1.2 trillion dollars: CBO

WASHINGTON — US President Barack Obama has underestimated the government budget deficit for the next decade by 1.2 trillions dollars, estimates by Congress showed Friday.

Under Obama's latest budget projections, the cumulative deficit over the 2011-2020 period would be 8.532 trillion dollars, or 4.5 percent of gross domestic product, the nation's economic output.

But the Congressional Budget Office estimated Friday the deficit would snowball to 9.761 trillion dollars or 5.2 percent of GDP.

The CBO expects a deficit "1.2 trillion dollars greater over the 2011-2020 period than what the administration anticipates under the president's budget," CBO director Douglas Elmendorf said in a report Friday.

Obama Still Smoking Cigarettes

This is a follow up to the February 23. 2010 article Dick Cheney And Bob Dole Hospitalized, where it was stated regarding U.S. President Barack Obama, "...President Obama, whose heart is years younger (though he could quit the smoking, as it promotes cancer via first, second and third hand smoke)."

Today, February 28. 2010, it was revealed by the Associated Press, via his first required check up, President Obama is indeed still smoking cigarettes. "Barry" needs to stop smoking.

Obama yet to kick smoking habit, should eat better

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama hasn't kicked the smoking habit, takes anti-inflammatory medication to relieve chronic tendonitis in his left knee and should eat better to lower his cholesterol, his team of doctors concluded Sunday after the 48-year-old's first medical checkup as commander in chief.

The hoops-happy chief executive, who has endured an exhausting White House run and yearlong battles with congressional Republicans, was otherwise declared in excellent health and fit for duty.

The White House physician, Navy Capt. Jeffrey Kuhlman, said Obama should stick with "smoking cessation efforts," the use of nicotine gum, and come back in August 2011 after he turns 50...
