Pfizer Paid Doctors Millions To Push Their Drugs

This week it was confirmed, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals pimped out a number of hospitals, paying them and doctors $35 million to push their medicines. The Judiciary Report has seen firsthand how this can be detrimental and wrote about this issue last year in a series of articles ("Off Label Use", Good And Bad Pharmaceutical Drugs, Scientists Call For Drug Database and Manufacturer Knew Vioxx Was Bad).

It's dangerous paying doctors money to push certain medicines on patients, as that particular pharmaceutical drug may not be the best choice and do more harm than good.

Doctors should be free to customize treatment regarding what they deem best, on a patient by patient basis, not hock a certain drug in a category of illness, because a pharmaceutical giant is pressuring and paying them to do so. Patients lose out in the end. Each infirmed person needs the best medicine suited to their particular situation.

Drug companies should be barred from this practice when it is pay for play on a drug with serious side effects.

Pfizer Paid Doctors, Hospitals $35 Million

MARCH 31, 2010, 10:56 P.M. ET - Pfizer Inc. said Wednesday it paid about 4,500 doctors and hospitals $35 million during the second half of last year to study how the company's medicines work and to promote the treatments, in its first public disclosure of payments to the professionals and institutions that test and prescribe its products.

Drug companies have been under pressure from some members of Congress and physicians to reveal their payments. The health overhaul passed recently requires disclosures of certain physician payments starting in 2013. But Pfizer faced a more immediate deadline for revealing its payments: It agreed to ...

Lindsay Lohan Falls At Club Again And Bounced Checks Confirmed

Lindsay Lohan being helped into car after falling over again outside a night club

In the March 12. 2010 article entitled E*Trade To Lindsay Lohan: You Can Bounce Like One Of Your Checks the Judiciary Report insinuated (ok, flat out wrote it) that Lindsay Lohan has been bouncing checks. Well, two weeks later, it has been revealed, she has been doing just that, bouncing checks. Her rent checks to be specific.

TMZ today obtained two bounced rent checks former actress Lindsay Lohan issued to pay her lease, which is $10,000 per month. The site was right again. This adds to the long list of exclusives on the site.

Years ago, the Judiciary Report's sister site the Sound Off Column was the first to disclose the fact Lindsay Lohan is a drug addict, which she denied for a long time.

Then, in 2007, the Judiciary Report site made a prediction, her then unknown reckless behavior that was hidden within Hollywood, would get her arrested and a week after the article ran that is exactly what happened.

Just five weeks ago, Lindsay Lohan did an interview finally admitting she's taken cocaine and other drugs, but insisted she is now drug free. Five weeks ago when the article was posted in the Sun, the Judiciary Report, knowing otherwise, shook its cyber head in disagreement and stated Lohan is still using cocaine.

Two weeks after the aforementioned article ran on the site, stating she is still using cocaine, Cocainegate happened, where Lindsay Lohan was pictured leaving a party with cocaine flying from her shoes, proving the Judiciary Report right again and also confirming the site's privately held belief, Lindsay Lohan is made of cocaine. In short, the Judiciary Report 5,345,000 - Lindsay Lohan 0 (just like her bank account).

Cocainegate

But let's get down to the nitty gritty. First of all, what is an unemployed actress doing leasing a property for $10,000 per month. That's $120,000 per year, plus fees associated with upkeep.

Second question, why do you have a driver, bodyguard and publicist, when you can't even pay your rent. At this point, your only career is stealing from people.

Living on credit is not a good idea. Neither is living off sugar mommies (Samantha Ronson, Donna Karan, Courtney Semel ect..) because when people get tired of your antics, you are out of gas and more importantly, it is immoral.

Dina Lohan (do we need to drug test her too)

You also need to remember, credit card companies will sue when you default, especially on large sums, such as the balances you are carrying, trying to pretend you are still a wealthy it girl.

Viper Room sidewalk where River Phoenix Died

Third question, does Dina Lohan need a drug test, going around insisting her daughter Lindsay is fine, not on drugs and still wealthy. Which Lindsay are you referring to Dina, the E*Trade baby Lindsay, because milk is cheaper than cocaine.

River Phoenix

Lastly, when I look at photos of Lindsay now, I see River Phoenix. However, the socially conscious unconscious version. A young Hollywood actor so engrossed in taking drugs, death took one by surprise on a club pavement.

Dina Lohan -- Bounced Checks, Really?

Posted Apr 2nd 2010 5:13PM by TMZ Staff - Lindsay Lohan's mother, Dina Lohan, has been blabbing all over town that her daughter was never behind in paying her rent ... but there's this issue of bounced checks to the landlord.

We first reported that Lindsay was behind on her rent, but Dina is saying it's just not so. TMZ has seen copies of two bounced checks, from Lindsay to her landlord, both written this year ... both of which have been stamped on the front with the words, "RETURN REASON - NOT SUFFICIENT FUNDS. NOT SUFFICIENT FUNDS."

We spoke with Dina, who says she didn't know anything about bounced checks. Dina says Lindsay has her business manager write her checks, and the one who she used in February is no longer working with her.

Johnny Depp And Angelina Jolie Attracted To Each Other

Johnny Depp And Angelina Jolie

Here's a not so cute tidbit the Judiciary Report found out about Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie - they are attracted to each other with the latter having proclaimed, too bad he is attached to girlfriend Vanessa Paradis. Clearly, Paradis fears are well founded.

Initially, the Judiciary Report thought Paradis was being overly concerned, even with Jolie's track record, as she has received so much negative press for being an adulteress and man stealer, people thought she was settled with Pitt.

Johnny Depp And Angelina Jolie

However, what the site learned two weeks ago is explosive. In an unguarded moment, she was seen making eyes at Johnny Depp and flirting with him, then he followed behind her staring at her butt and smirking.

Word to the wise: the two of you need to behave, as you both have children and commitments to others.

Megan Fox Is Delusional

Megan Fox and Michael Bay

The day after the Judiciary Report ran the article Entertainers That Stalk Other Performers a reaction from Fox appeared on Showbiz Spy. Megan Fox stated she turned down the reboot role of "Lara Croft" and is is blaming her unflattering comparisons to actress Angelina Jolie on movie people in Hollywood not knowing how to market her and blogs doing so for website hits. She flatters herself and is delusional, as she is the one that brought the negative comparisons on herself.

Once again, she had plastic surgery to look like Jolie, got the same type of tattoos in the same places on her body, grew out her hair to the same length, claimed the exact same Irish, Indian and French heritage as Jolie, began dressing like her, speaking like her in interviews and then dropped a bomb in stating she wants to be Jolie's girlfriend.

It's your arrogance and covetous ambition that provoked such comparisons. You are also one of the most graceless interviewees in history, as if you had not offered up all that information, most people outside of Hollywood would not have readily spotted your Jolie obsession.

When I first saw Fox in the movie "Transformers" - a role she buffed more than the director's car to get, I didn't think of Angelina Jolie immediately. That's because make-up artists were being paid to cover all Fox's Jolie-esque tattoos each day and stylists dressed her in high school type clothes.

Left to her own devices, Megan speaks, dresses, poses and tattoos herself, just like Jolie, but behaves more like the latter did during her full-on drug years, she is now trying to wean herself off.

MEGAN Fox has turned down the chance to be the next Lara Croft.

Tuesday March 30, 2010 - ...“The media has to package you and sell you somehow and sell their magazines so everybody has to be ‘the new’ or ‘the next’ someone or something,” she said in October last year.

“If I am not a party girl and they can’t sell me as that, and I’m not an Oscar winning actress and they can’t sell me as that, then they have to package me somehow and for some reason they latched on to the Angelina thing because I have a lot of tattoos.

U.S. Economy Still In Trouble

U.S. President Barack Obama

The U.S. commerce data released for the month of March 2010, reveals the economy is still in trouble, as companies continue to shed a massive number of jobs, home sales are down and national revenue is significantly lagging.

This has confounded the current U.S. Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, but it should not have, as this site has maintained for many months, too much government spending is transpiring on initiatives that are not fruitful in reviving an economy. President Obama has made many changes to America that are not panning out, due to bad timing and overspending.

US treasury secretary Geithner says unemployment is 'terribly high'

Thursday 1 April 2010 16.59 BST - Geithner says Obama is hugely concerned about jobless rate - The treasury secretary Timothy Geithner warned today that US unemployment was "terribly high" and would remain "unacceptably high for a very long time".

FBI and NSA Wiretapping Ruled Illegal

FBI Director Robert S. Mueller

U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker ruled the FBI and NSA's warantless wiretapping of Islamic charity, al-Haramain, was illegal. The ruling comes as a blow to the U.S. government.

However, one should follow the U.S. Constitution, as it is the law of the land and the Fourth Amendment was clearly violated in this case. If the government wanted to wiretap al-Haramain, they should have done so with a warrant and not trampled the U.S. Constitution. The international condemnation warantless wiretapping has caused, tarnished the government's name in the world.

Eric Holder

Disgraced Attorney General, Eric Holder, who has been slammed in Congress and the press, for a wide range of faux pas and failures, utilized the State Secrets defense, in an inexcusable bid to defend the indefensible, but the argument did not prevail in court.

Since when does the term "classified" (State Secrets) cover illegality. Inherently, if something is illegal, it cannot lawfully, ethically or legitimately be categorized "classified." Think about that.

Government held liable in warrantless wiretapping case

April 1, 2010 -- Updated 0102 GMT (0902 HKT) - San Francisco, California -- A federal judge ruled Wednesday that the government is liable for illegally wiretapping an Islamic charity without a valid search warrant.

The ruling in Northern California District Court reaffirmed an earlier decision that the warrantless wiretaps conducted on an Oregon-based Islamic non-profit organization were illegal.

In Wednesday's ruling, District Judge Vaughn R. Walker said the government is liable for damages from the illegal wiretapping.

FBI Computer System Still A Financial Sinkhole

FBI's new computer system facing more costs, delay

Wed Mar 31, 2010 5:16pm EDT - (Reuters) - A long-running effort to upgrade FBI computerized case files faced additional big cost overruns and a new delay, the U.S. Justice Department's inspector general said in a report issued on Wednesday.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the contractor Lockheed Martin Corp were renegotiating the budget -- last estimated at $451 million -- as well as the schedule and some of the work to be performed, the report said.

The system, known as Sentinel, had been expected to be completed by September but FBI Director Robert Mueller told Congress earlier this month it would be delayed until 2011.

"We have significant concerns with the rate and cost at which Sentinel's development is progressing," the report said. "The FBI will require significant additional time and funding to address these issues."...

Annals of crime: the FBI's continuing computer woes

...The back story, in case you’ve missed the OIG’s reports on Sentinel over the past five years:

“After more than 3 years and $334 million expended on the development and maintenance of Sentinel, the cost to Sentinel is rising, the completion of Sentinel has been delayed, and the FBI does not have a current schedule or cost estimate for completing the project.”

Actually, it gets worse:

“In today’s report," the OIG continued, "we also noted that the FBI had conditionally accepted delivery of Segment 4 of Sentinel’s Phase 2 in December 2009, despite knowing that there were serious performance and usability issues. “

Investigators found “10,000 inefficiencies in Sentinel’s software code” supplied by the FBI’s contractor, Lockheed Martin...
