Obama's DOJ Engaging In Warrantless Email Scanning

U.S. President Barack Obama: Uncle Sam wants...your emails

As stated in the April 17. 2010 article, Obama Plays Scientist, the FBI/DOJ and NSA, scan and copy the emails (and computers) of select American people, without warrant, evening using their contents to compile reports for then President George W. Bush and now President Barack Obama. Doctors, scientists, professors, politicians, journalists and bloggers are often selected for this massive invasion of privacy. The Judiciary Report made these claims years ago as well.

Eric Holder: your emails are our emails!

One hold out was Yahoo, who engaged in a legal battle with the DOJ, to protect their users' privacy. The EFF supported them in this regard, as it is an unsavory government practice that violates the Fourth Amendment.

FBI Director Robert S. Mueller: what warrant?

The DOJ has officially backed down from the Yahoo legal tussle, but continues to unconstitutionally read the emails of Americans that use other email and web hosting providers.

In closing, Presidents, by way of the FBI and NSA, should not be fishing ideas out of people's emails. It is an awful, unseemly practice no one with any ethics could condone or respect.

DOJ abandons warrantless attempt to read Yahoo e-mail

April 16, 2010 12:01 PM PDT - The U.S. Justice Department has abruptly abandoned what had become a high-profile court fight to read Yahoo users' e-mail messages without obtaining a search warrant first.

In a two-page brief filed Friday, the Obama administration withdrew its request for warrantless access to the complete contents of the Yahoo Mail accounts under investigation. CNET was the first to report on the Denver case in an article on Tuesday...

EFF Backs Yahoo! to Protect User from Warrantless Email Search

April 14th, 2010 - Denver - The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) along with Google and numerous other public interest organizations and Internet industry associations joined with Yahoo! in asking a federal court Tuesday to block a government attempt to access the contents of a Yahoo! email account without a search warrant based on probable cause.

Your fourth amendment rights under attack by Obama, DOJ

April 16, 7:45 PM - I don't know what to think about the country anymore. I see things happening that, just a few years ago, would have been called "proof that Bush is Satan." Those same things, under this administration, receive little or no press. While we're all paying attention to Tiger Woods and his marital problems, or busy arguing about whether the Tea Party movement is full of "racists, homophobes and morons," the government is quietly working to take away our personal, constitutionally protected, GOD GIVEN freedoms...

The Dept. of Justice apparently believes that U.S. citizens do not enjoy a "reasonable expectation of privacy" with respect to cell phone use, and have been attempting to acquire the ability to simply demand user information from the cell phone companies without going through standard procedures to obtain a warrant for specific information on specific individuals for use in specific prosecutions. They are assaulting the fourth amendment in yet another case, asserting that "email over 181 days old should not be protected from warrantless search and seizure."...

Anti-Obama Doctor Explains His Position

Florida physician, Dr. Jack Casell, went on the news to explain his position, after he placed a sign in his office, informing Obama voters, "If you voted for Obama...seek urologic care elsewhere. Changes to your healthcare begin right now, not in four years."

Dr. Jack Casell

Dr. Casell is attempting to justify his point of view by claiming care under Obama's new healthcare bill will erode your health and wallet. Actually, his words were, "Not only do they want you to die at a younger age, as they basically ratchet down care, but they want you to die a slow and painful death as well."

The Judiciary Report dislikes quite a few aspects of the Obama healthcare bill, as it needs work, but since it has become law, people need to work on ways to improve it. The site also retains the position, Dr. Jack Casell is in danger of violating the Civil Rights Act, via discriminating against Obama voters. He is entering dangerous legal territory.

Crazy Legal Defense: Michael Jackson Killed Himself

Michael Jackson

Dr. Conrad Murray's latest legal defense, in the death of pop star, Michael Jackson, who died at his hands, has grown so desperate, he is now claiming the crooner killed himself. This is his official defense strategy. Jackson supposedly popped up out of his sleep when Murray went to the toilet and gave himself the fatal jab of the anesthetic Propofol that killed him. Not buying it. Try again.

Dr. Conrad Murray

The Judiciary Report would laugh at this ridiculousness if this case weren't so sad. That story is so implausible, undignified and defamatory to the dead. If I were on the jury, based on that story, I would vote to convict, for insulting my intelligence, as this blatant lie makes it look as though the defense has something to hide.

Florida Doctor Tells Obama Voters To Seek Care Elsewhere

U.S. President Barack Obama

A Republican doctor in Florida, Jack Cassell, angry with the drastic changes U.S. President Barack Obama made to the U.S. healthcare system last week, has posted a sign at his office stating, "If you voted for Obama...seek urologic care elsewhere. Changes to your healthcare begin right now, not in four years."

The story has picked up traction in the press and made its way to the U.S. Congress, where Rep. Alan Grayson intends to file a complaint and lawsuit against him. The doctor should be careful, as he may cross a line that transgresses the Civil Rights Act.

Pfizer Paid Doctors Millions To Push Their Drugs

This week it was confirmed, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals pimped out a number of hospitals, paying them and doctors $35 million to push their medicines. The Judiciary Report has seen firsthand how this can be detrimental and wrote about this issue last year in a series of articles ("Off Label Use", Good And Bad Pharmaceutical Drugs, Scientists Call For Drug Database and Manufacturer Knew Vioxx Was Bad).

It's dangerous paying doctors money to push certain medicines on patients, as that particular pharmaceutical drug may not be the best choice and do more harm than good.

Doctors should be free to customize treatment regarding what they deem best, on a patient by patient basis, not hock a certain drug in a category of illness, because a pharmaceutical giant is pressuring and paying them to do so. Patients lose out in the end. Each infirmed person needs the best medicine suited to their particular situation.

Drug companies should be barred from this practice when it is pay for play on a drug with serious side effects.

Pfizer Paid Doctors, Hospitals $35 Million

MARCH 31, 2010, 10:56 P.M. ET - Pfizer Inc. said Wednesday it paid about 4,500 doctors and hospitals $35 million during the second half of last year to study how the company's medicines work and to promote the treatments, in its first public disclosure of payments to the professionals and institutions that test and prescribe its products.

Drug companies have been under pressure from some members of Congress and physicians to reveal their payments. The health overhaul passed recently requires disclosures of certain physician payments starting in 2013. But Pfizer faced a more immediate deadline for revealing its payments: It agreed to ...
